Cologne

Where the cathedral spires tower over Germany's oldest city

Cologne may not be the most beautiful big city in Germany, but it has a unique architectural inheritance which creates a powerful sense of historical continuity. Above all it is the cathedral, one of the most famous and instantly recognizable religious buildings on the planet, that Cologne is identified with. The city also has a highly developed sense of its own distinctiveness, expressed through the strong Kölsch dialect, the beer of the same name, and a fun-loving approach to life most apparent during Karneval,
which is one of the biggest street parties in Europe (3-9 March 2011).

AF operates 3 flights per day to Cologne, operated with ATR42 -500.

Freetown

Filthy and frantic, but you can´t help loving it.
Capital of Sierra Leone, small country in West Africa, located between Guinea and Liberia. Strong historical links with USA and UK, as Freetown was the rallying point of emancipated American survivors of slavery during the 18th and 19th century. The landscape in Freetown is very hilly, you can see the sea from almost any point in the city and you are never far away from the beach!

On a busy day, Freetown echoes with the sound of hooting cars, local traders and passers-by, at night, Freetown cries out through the speakers of local night clubs and bars.
